The IRS doesn’t require anyone to give a reason for extending their tax deadline (everyone is approved, assuming you submit your application properly!), but I’m curious to understand why people choose to extended their taxes.

It’s not common knowledge, but in 2005 the IRS changed the tax laws
around filing extensions. The new tax laws allow any US citizen to
